31 December 2009
Well yes it’s the last day of 2009! And well, as for new year resolutions, I’ve got four.
First, score straight A1s for my O-levels.
Second, build myself a pet bird robot and call it “Razor”.
Third, build myself a laptop.
Forth, build myself a submerged computer.
Of course, the last three has to be after the Os. LOL. But if I can get No. 2 done and bring Razor for robotics lessons in poly… LOL.
Anyway, yesterday I went to HPB, and guess what. The stupid doc said I had to lose thirty kilograms to be of standard weight. Wtf. That equates to one kilogram per month. Argh. And after seeing the doc, my mum made my dinners miserable. She scooped everything onto a plate with only one serving. No more self service. sigh…
Anyway, today I went to Orchard road and got some stuff for myself:
And a pair of Reebok Sports Shoes that are completely white so that I can wear them to school. Didn’t have a pic of that though. lol.
After walking around mum brought me to the foodcourt at the basement of takashimaya. I love the food. lol. This was the only meal that I was allowed to be exempted from the doc’s advice. LOL.
Anyway Dad and younger bro got back from Hong Kong today, Dad bought me a pair of gloves and a Fujitsu digital recorder pen. Not to mention, an ipod touch is waiting in line. Haha!
Oh wells. Nothing else I guess. Going off now. Happy New Year everybody!

DIY laptop? Have fun.
Sure why not. Maybe a micro ATX board or so.
It’s so hard it’s probably not worth a try. Not to mention getting separate parts will be much more expensive than just buying an OEM laptop.
Custom desktop = cheap, fast, powerful, easy
Custom laptop = tedious, costly, will most likely turn out bulky and ugly
I’m not insulting your skill or talent, really. Even if I were better at DNT than you, I wouldn’t dare build a laptop. It’s not worth it IMO.
Dude, that’s everything about Computer Modding. Something you may never understand for functionality.
People MODIFY laptops, not BUILD them from scratch.
Make up your mind, are you going to BUILD a laptop from several parts or buy one pre-built and then MOD it?
The former makes much less sense, by the way.
No, modding includes custom builds as well. Go do your homework before coming to argue with me.
Building a machine means building a machine, regardless of whether or not the parts are modded. Modding is almost always little more than cosmetic changes, anyway.
Best of luck on building your laptop. I’d be surprised if it ever happens.
Good luck yah.
Heysss. Happy new year! ^^
Happy new year to you too!
Hi chevvy!
Actually I’m kinda confused. Who’s chevvy?
